How I Started My First Facebook Page ?

In 2 months, It’ll be more than a decade since I created my first Facebook page and in 1 month It’ll be 7 years since the last post was made on the page. At it’s peak I had around 3K + follows and average engagement was around 3%. I mostly posted memes which were honestly stolen from other big accounts alongside videos and normal updates from the web. Before I dive deep into the journey, let’s do one thing and that is to search our name on Google and see where we are even after 7 years of not showing up.

There we are standing in 2nd place even though there is an Instagram account with our exact username. When I was making the page I didn’t even know what SEO or Keywords even was, I was just a boy who used to like other pages content and just had a small dream to create something of his own.

I’ll talk about how I started my first Facebook page page and things I did to grow it from a normal account only I have liked to 3K likes. It’ll be a multiple blog series  and I will go deep into insight probably in the next blog. This one will be specially focusing on the stories and planning and will be a good starting point for the series so let’s start.

Why I started the page on Facebook ?

The simple reason was that Facebook was the only platform everyone used at that time, Instagram was blowing up on the side and was on the route to become the juggernaut that we know today. But the reason I chose facebook was because everyone I knew was in here. You could see new pages popping up and blowing up to massive numbers and I wanted the same for me or say something like that for me. I didn’t want money at that time and just like any 15 year old boy, I wanted some attention from my peers and the opposite gender and handling a page seemed like something that could have helped me achieve that. And with that around 9 years before, I started Rated Random

Started as Rated R as that was an edgy word at that time and one year into the posting, I changed the name to first Triple R and in just one week, I changed the name to what it is called today ‘Rated Random’ which I just set for no reason.

What was My Aim ?

At that time, all I wanted was attention and acknowledgement from the one I know and a page on my profile was the perfect way to show that I doing something, at least something I can call my own and whenever I clicked on the FB app, I’d have something to look forward to. And a decade has passed since then, I remember posting from my oldest laptop and whenever I get a new like I was on top of the world and in the following blogs I would cover insight, content and the strategies I implemented and how I achieved my first 100 followers on my FB page and how it ended up achieving 3K followers on my first Facebook page.
