The Revival of Rated Random 

If you aren’t experienced with the lore, you should know The Story Of Rated Random before you move any further for The revival of Rated Random. There is a reason why everything exists and the same is the case for this blog but this time even the date is crucial as to why now and not tomorrow or earlier. The reason is that It has been exactly 10 years since the page was published which was on 9th September 2015.

It all started because I wanted some likes and ended up with 3K followers with a decent engagement rate. And then I stopped because I thought the time for conclusion had arrived. But maybe all of it and the 3 year journey I had with it was just part 1 and I think it doesn’t have the ending it deserved. It’s like one of those movies you enjoyed but the ending being underwhelming left a sour taste in your mouth and that’s why I decided to revive what I loved. I know there is a chance that it can fail but I’ll never know if I never try so here goes.

What Is The Content ?

Unlike Rated Random which was just a hub of stolen memes, a dig on trendy topic and my takeaway, a group for people to post their stuff and a chance to get featured on the page, the new page will be step above it and won’t just be another page which criticise shit but will be an attempt to improve what it finds disturbing.

To give an example, I saw something which left me traumatised for the next 10 minutes of it happening. I saw a 2 wheeler rider stumble upon a pothole and the pillion which was the rider daughter almost came under a bus but luckily both the rider and bus driver was smart to pull back the girl and applying the brake respectively but what if one of them wasn’t, 5 second was all it needed to shatter a whole generation and create lifetime trauma for the family. Everyone else would have rode off and all it could become was the topic of their evening break time. And the only reason was because someone didn’t do their job and I think that’s an issue. The same is the case with uncleaned places, broken pipes and all of the shit that can cause people to lose their lives. And maybe, just maybe I can do something about it.

I won’t go deep with the ideas and instead would like the people to wait for the posts or any other stuff that I think should exist. There are only some reasons why some art pieces are more successful than others but there are a hundred reasons for the same  things to fail. In the end, it’s just numbers and I can think I’d do this or that with the page but honestly I don’t know, at this point I just know one thing and that is this page i.e Rated So Random should exist.

Why The Name Change ?

Apart from the reason that I can’t find ratedrandom username on Instagram,  it was simply time to let go of the fact that Rated Random makes any sense as a complete sentence and yes I know many other brands don’t too but Rated So Random makes more sense than its counterpart but it makes even better sense once you read the tagline alongside it which is ”For those who get it” and when we add both the name and the tagline, what we get is brand new logo of the venture.

Maybe it’s not the final one but it’s definitely something I think is decent for starting.

What Can You Expect now and in future ?

The answer is simply randomly rated things and it’ll be for those who get it. I know there is a need for something I only have a rough idea in my head and the only way to make sense of anything is starting with what I have and what I have is the name, an account and random shit.

Rebranding Facebook

I’ve updated the logo, cover image and the username associated with the page. You can find all of these in the page setup section from the settings and privacy in the menu.

Making Instagram & X Account

Made both the Instagram & X account although there was weird thing going on during the account creation in the former that it wasn’t taking the username “ratedsorandom” even though no account exists for the said name and I had to add an extra “o” in it. I’ll get back to this after some time.

The Journey Ahead

I don’t know what is in the store for me but one thing is sure, it’ll be fun and it’ll be rated so random that you are gonna get it. So stay tuned, it’s going to be a long ride for sure.
